What is your learning style?

It is claimed that when you go about the process of learning you have preferred ways of doing it. Some of us like to learn by reading about it – we pick up a book and read. Others may like to learn by doing it – they can only understand and remember when they have done the experiment. Others may prefer to see pictures of the thing we are asked to learn about – the online animation helps them to understand. Yet others prefer a musical approach to learning. Then there are those who prefer to work in groups and those who like learning alone.

Most of us are very complicated and have a variety of preferred ways to learn but even then one or two stand out. Look at the description of them below and see what you think.

Are you verbal smart?	If you are verbal smart you enjoy reading, writing and speaking. You will also like discussions, word games, storytelling, etc.
Are you mathematical smart?	This is sometimes called logical smart. You will like working out problems particularly mathematical and scientific problems. You might hate doing the experiment but you will like to make up the hypothesis and plan how it can be proved. Number games, brain teasers and other similar methods suit your preferred style of learning
Are you visually and spatially smart?	You will enjoy painting and drawing. You might try and remember things by drawing pictures or cartoons. You will try and solve problems in a similar way. You are good at using colour, lines, shape and space. Imagination games, art activities, visual presentations are all good ways to help you learn. Maybe you would find the creation of a PowerPoint presentation a good learning tool.
Are you kinaesthetically smart?	You are a hands-on learner. You also like to use your whole body to express ideas and thoughts. You will like drama, and using your hands to create things. You would probably have liked the home experiment. Your preferred learning methods are the experiment, dance, drama, and hands-on.
Are you musically smart?	You will probably be smart in other ways however you will also be ‘musical’ and enjoy rhythm, pitch, tone and different musical forms. You would love to learn everything through music. You will make the scientific rap.
Are you interpersonal smart?	You are good at working out the moods, intentions, motivations, and feelings of other people. This means that you like working in groups. You can easily master group activities and can listen to other people. You would prefer to learn in a group, sharing ideas and thoughts.
Are you intrapersonal smart?	You are a loner who knows yourself. You are aware of your strengths and limitations and have enough self discipline to work on your own. So you would prefer independent study and self-instruction.
